entitled to almost 3 million dollars in subsidy. They had
the elements but they didn’t have the knowledge and the
follow through to take advantage of something that was

One
of the major US Studios was doing a television series in
Europe. We helped them utilize strategic production
alliances to reduce their costs on the one-hour show. By
planning the alliances, we brought in a French production
company that used its subsidies to invest in an English
language series for one third of the budget. The U.S.
studio was able to whittle its financial exposure
enormously for a one-hour television series. This is a

“debt”. We arranged for the government to allow the debt
to be used for film production. We bought that debt from
one of the American banks for less than 40 cents on the
